The Media Library is where all your content lives. Every video, image, audio file, web snapshot, and live feed you add to LightLoop appears here.

Uploading media

Drag-and-drop upload

Drag video or image files directly onto the Media tab. You can drop multiple files at once.

From the Upload button

Click Upload to open the file picker. Select one or more files and click Open. Uploads go directly to your Google Drive — LightLoop streams them straight from your browser. A thumbnail is generated automatically on your device before the file finishes uploading so you can see a preview right away.

Resumable uploads

If your connection drops mid-upload, LightLoop resumes where it left off. Large video files are safe to upload even on spotty connections.

Importing from Canva or YouTube

Use the import options to bring in content without re-uploading:
  • Canva — paste a Canva design link; LightLoop fetches it as an image or video (learn more)
  • YouTube — paste a YouTube URL to download as a video or extract audio only (learn more)

Media detail panel

Click any item in the library to open its detail panel on the right side.

Fields you can edit

FieldDescription
TitleDisplay name shown in playlists and on Apple TV
TagsCustom labels for filtering and organization
DurationOverride the display time (for images or short loops)
In / Out markersTrim start and end of a video
Pause pointsTimestamps where playback auto-pauses during a service
SubtitlesEnable or upload a subtitle track

Pause points

Pause points let you insert automatic pauses into a video — perfect for curriculum videos with built-in discussion questions.
  1. Open the media detail panel
  2. Scroll to Pause Points
  3. Click Add Pause Point and enter a timestamp (e.g., 1:23)
  4. Save
When this item plays on an Apple TV, playback automatically stops at each pause point. Press Menu on the Siri Remote to advance to the next section.

In / Out markers

Trim the beginning or end of a video without re-editing the file:
  1. Open the media detail panel
  2. Enter an In time (when to start) and/or Out time (when to stop)
  3. Save
In/Out markers don’t modify the original file in Google Drive. They’re metadata instructions LightLoop sends to the Apple TV.

Organizing with tags

Tags are freeform labels you assign to media items. Use them to filter your library quickly — for example, tag videos by series name, season, or event type. To add a tag:
  1. Open the media detail panel
  2. Click the Tags field
  3. Type a tag name and press Enter
  4. Tags are shared across your team (not private)
To filter by tag, use the Filter dropdown in the media grid and select one or more tags.

Bulk actions

Select multiple items using the checkbox on each card (or click Select All), then use the action bar that appears at the bottom to:
  • Delete selected items (also removes them from any playlists)
  • Add tags in bulk
  • Remove tags in bulk

Incompatible media

Occasionally an Apple TV will flag a video as incompatible — the file’s codec or container isn’t supported by that device. These items appear grayed out with a warning badge in the library. Incompatibility is reported by the Apple TV itself after it attempts to play the file. To resolve it, re-export the video in H.264 / MP4 format and re-upload.

Deleting media

To delete a media item:
  1. Open the detail panel
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Delete
  3. Confirm the deletion
Deleting a media item removes it from all playlists and triggers a re-cache on every Apple TV subscribed to those feeds. It also deletes the file from your Google Drive.
