LightLoop can download YouTube videos and extract audio directly into your media library — no third-party tools needed.
Importing from YouTube
- Copy the YouTube video URL from your browser or the YouTube app
- In the Media library, click Import → YouTube
- Paste the URL
- Choose the import type:
- Download as video — saves the full video to your Google Drive
- Extract audio only — downloads just the audio track as an M4A file (great for background music soundtracks)
- Click Import
LightLoop fetches the video in the background. It appears in your library when the download completes.
Best uses
| Use case | Import type |
|---|
| Sermon clip or testimony video | Download as video |
| Music video for a worship service | Download as video |
| Background worship music | Extract audio only |
| Podcast or teaching audio | Extract audio only |
Playlist URLs
You can paste a single video URL. Playlist URLs are not supported — import videos one at a time.
Copyright considerations
Only import YouTube content you have the right to use. This includes content your organization created, content licensed for church use (e.g., CCLI Stream+ covers some music), and content under Creative Commons or other permissive licenses.Importing copyrighted music or video without a license violates YouTube’s terms of service and may constitute copyright infringement.
File quality
LightLoop downloads the best available quality for the video. For most videos this is 1080p. 4K downloads are supported where available.
Audio-only extracts are saved as high-quality M4A (AAC) files.
