Media Import
Import video and image files directly from your PCO Media library into LightLoop — no manual downloading and re-uploading required.Importing media
- In the Media library, click Import → Planning Center Media
- Browse your PCO Media library — search by title or filter by type
- Select the files you want to import
- Click Import — LightLoop copies the files into your Google Drive and adds them to your library
LightLoop imports a copy of the file. If you update the original in PCO, re-import to pull in the latest version.
Services — Songs & Playlists
Pull your worship song set directly from a PCO Services plan and turn it into a LightLoop playlist — lyrics, order, and all.Importing a service plan
- In the Media library, click Import → Planning Center Services
- Select a Service Type and then a specific Plan (e.g., “Sunday Worship — June 1”)
- LightLoop fetches the plan’s item list and shows a preview of the songs in order
- Click Import as Playlist — a new playlist is created with each song as a lyric slide item
Keeping it in sync
After the initial import, you can re-import the same plan as the order changes. LightLoop updates the playlist order to match — existing items are reused rather than duplicated.Check-In Monitor
The Check-In Monitor displays a live roster of who has checked in to a PCO Check-In event — updated every few seconds.Setting up a monitor
- In the Media library, click Add Monitor
- Select Planning Center Check-In
- Choose the event and location to monitor
- Configure the display format:
- Show names as a list
- Show total count only
- Show both
- Save — the monitor appears in your library as a media item
How it works
LightLoop renders the check-in data as a JPEG image server-side, using Cloudflare’s browser rendering. The Apple TV fetches a fresh render every few seconds when the monitor is on screen. The Check-In Monitor always requires an internet connection to display current data. If the connection drops, the Apple TV shows the last rendered image rather than a blank screen.
PCO Calendar
Display upcoming events from your PCO calendar — service times, events, room bookings, and more.Setting up a calendar display
- In the Media library, click Add Calendar
- Select Planning Center Calendar
- Choose which calendars to include
- Configure the display (number of events to show, date range)
- Save
Welcome Party
Welcome Party is a full-screen celebration overlay that appears on your Apple TVs the moment a child checks in through PCO Check-In.Setting up Welcome Party
- In the Media library, click Add Monitor → Welcome Party
- Select the PCO Check-In event to watch
- Configure:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Welcome message | Custom text (e.g., “We’re so glad you’re here!”) |
| Display duration | How long the overlay stays on screen (seconds) |
| Sound effect | Choose from: Dance Beat, Cheer, Celebration Beat, Fanfare, or None |
- Save and add to a playlist
How it works
LightLoop polls PCO Check-In for new arrivals every few seconds. When a new check-in is detected:- PCO returns the child’s name and photo
- LightLoop pushes a WebSocket message to subscribed Apple TVs
- The Welcome Party overlay appears on top of whatever content is currently playing
- After the configured duration, the overlay dismisses and normal content resumes
Multiple TVs
If multiple Apple TVs are subscribed to the same feed, the Welcome Party appears on all of them simultaneously.PCO vs. Kidddo
LightLoop supports Welcome Party through both PCO (polling-based) and Kidddo (webhook-based). Kidddo triggers faster — within a second of a scan — because it uses a push webhook rather than polling. See the Kidddo integration if you use Kidddo for check-in.Disconnecting Planning Center
