## Portrait mode

If your feed is set to **Portrait** orientation, the physical remote is held horizontally but the navigation mapping stays the same:

* Swipe in the direction of the content flow (LightLoop remaps focus navigation to match the rotated layout)

## Using the Siri Remote for text entry

When entering your server URL or Feed ID on the setup screen, you can:

* Use the **on-screen keyboard** with remote swipes
* Hold the **microphone button** and dictate (e.g., "h t t p s colon slash slash screens dot myorg dot workers dot dev")

<Tip>
  For the Feed ID, voice dictation works well — just say each character: "alpha bravo one two charlie delta."
</Tip>

## LightLoop Remote app (recommended)

For full control from your iPhone or iPad, use the **LightLoop Remote** app — a dedicated iOS companion app built for LightLoop.

Unlike the Siri Remote, LightLoop Remote gives you:

* A **live playlist browser** — browse and trigger any item from any playlist without touching the Apple TV
* A **live 16:9 preview** — see exactly what's on the Apple TV screen on your phone
* **Stage Mode** — a large-text confidence display for worship leaders and speakers
* **Multi-device sessions** — connect a phone and an iPad simultaneously for combined operator + stage display setups

## Third-party remotes

LightLoop works with any remote that can send standard tvOS navigation and playback commands:

* **Apple TV Remote app** (on iPhone/iPad) — full support
* **Universal remotes** (via HDMI-CEC) — navigation and play/pause work; touchpad swipe for prev/next item may not be available depending on the remote
